Organisms create geometry; or, they create within recognizable geometries. I am interested in sculpture as the exploration of physical space, through geometric models. I do not care for the precise replication of lengths and angles. I am interested in the whole quantum of the form. A polyhedron is a set of compressions and tensions that yield an efficient form within space.
Occasionally, I use computers to create and 3d print polyhedra, but I prefer to rely on my intuition and use clay or wire to extrude these shapes into reality. Any medium is fine, really. Just so long as its readily accessible, malleable, and inexpensive.
